Responsibilities:
Elicits requirements through interviews, requirements workshops, and document analysis.
Evaluates information gathered and creates corresponding documents - business requirements, use cases, functional specifications, etc.
Able to decompose high-level information into details and turn abstract ideas into ideas that can be understood by the general user.
Able to distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs of the system.
Has strong analytical skills including the skill to translate the client's business needs into application requirements.
Communicates and collaborates with external and internal customers for further discussion of business requirements or other project needs.
Ensures that the project team is informed about changes in requirements at all times.
Monitors Developer tasks/modules to ensure that requirements are met.
Has excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group (from Executives to Managers to Developers).
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent
At least 1 - 2 years of experience as a Business Analyst
Has excellent communication skills
Has strong analytical skills
Relishes challenges and can multi-task
Team player
Has well-developed problem solving and decision making skills
Willing to travel
